SmellFixer is an independent home-odor troubleshooting website. Its purpose is to help a reader move from “something smells wrong” to a narrower, safer next step.

What we do

We organize odor problems around three clues: location, odor character and timing. Guides distinguish low-risk cleaning/maintenance checks from situations that need a plumber, HVAC technician, electrician, appliance technician, water professional, septic service or emergency response.

What we do not do

We do not remotely certify gas safety, electrical safety, mold status, drinking-water quality, plumbing-code compliance or appliance condition. Smell is a clue, not a measurement.

How the content is produced

SmellFixer uses AI-assisted drafting and automated technical QA. Safety-critical claims are checked against the primary sources listed on the relevant pages. We do not present AI output as a licensed inspection or professional opinion.
